Amazingly it is time for another group read selection!

Please nominate up to two books you'd like to have as a group read in October and November 2019, and second as many nominated books as you like.

There will be a poll to select the two books in about a week.

October: The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner

Sep 5, 1:30pm Top

I'll second the Confessions of a Justified Sinner, and will nominate Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey. I can't be the only person who hasn't read this Jane Austen! On a more obscure note, will also nominate War with the Newts.

Please may I nominate The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte and Tom Jones by Henry Fielding. Not that I'll finish Tom Jones in a month, of course, but if it was November, I could at least start early, like in a handicap race when the slowest is given a head start.

I'd like to second War with the newts and nominate Back and The Counterfeiters.

I'll third The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner. I heard a reference to this somewhere recently, but I can't remember where!

War with the Newts sounds good, so I'll third that one as well.

I've wanted to read The Counterfeiters for a long time, so I'll second that.

I really appreciate both the group reads and the group challenges. Sometimes I have a hard time choosing what to read and these give me direction and goals. Thank you all for doing this!
