We now have a number of theories for Sir Nigel’s Murder. Any thoughts on the most likely?

I still don't think it was Francis. I still think all 3 murders are connected and everyone involved lived in Tanfield at some point so I'd say it's something to do with the Hellfire Club and some type of revenge.

If Earnshaw hadn't been killed, I'd almost think that the killer was Lady Prescott and that Francis was covering up for her. However, with Earnshaw's death and the attempt on Sebastian - I'm back to the Hellfire Club and revenge killings by a victim

I think Nigel went to confront the real father, who might have been Francis. I don't believe Francis is a killer so I'm edging toward the possibility that someone other than Francis is the father and that's why Francis was killed.

I think Sir Nigel's Murder has to do with the Hellfire Club.

We keep hearing about these letters written by someone that calls themselves "Alcibades". Perhaps whoever this person is is the killer. Everything seems to come back to the Prescott family. That boat is starting to look better and better:)

Quillian funded the demolition of the charnel house, which subsequently led to the exposure of the crypt. He may have had some cleaning up to do.
