I need to make a list of books from my LT catalog and I want them in a particular order that is custom (need to list them in chronological order by the storyline). Is there a way to do this?

You can sort by the Comments/Private Comments field, so you could enter 1, 2, 3, etc. in there.

Ok that will work!

>1 wunderlong88: you could also enter a related series that aligns books based on the storyline (IF they are all from the same series)

Series aren't sortable in the catalog, though, so it really depends on what the OP is planning to do with the set of books (using that term, rather than "list", to avoid potential confusion with an LT List).

Lists were hosed from the start and were never touched again so we have your classic LT crap.

Export to TSV and roll your own lists. More often than not the data you want for this is not easily available from others, so you'll need to enter some (or all) of the data and keep it consistent. I have a few old publisher series I look for and public libraries aren't very good at noting that sort of thing, so I just add it to the Comment field. LT makes it possible, which is not so bad.
