Most of the books we read certainly make it seem that easy. For someone that is part of that world (intelligence or criminal), it’s probably a matter of knowing the right people and places to go. Of course, for law-abiding people like us, we’d have no clue and would probably be found out in a matter of hours. :)

I have to agree with >2 bhabeck:. How many "normal" people would even know where to begin?

I think it's the criminal that helps with the new identity - for a fee you can get anything done. Probably if you are in witness protection then you can get an honest new identity.

I certainly wouldn't know where to start looking! I'd be too paranoid to Google, ha!, and too scared to go where seedy characters might congregate.

I don't think it's a easy as depicted in this book, but I'm sure if you have criminal resources it's probably easier.

I'm not surprised. It all comes down to money. And today's technology is amazing. And you just need to know the right people.

Agree with you all. If you exist in that world most probably easy. To the rest of us, not a chance!
