How did this compare to the first book in the series?

they were both good but I think this one was better as we got to see more of the characters' personalities.

I liked both of them. I believe this one was slightly better, but it may have been because we knew the characters and how they were...or should have reacted.

The first one made my favourites list, this one didn't quite make that. But they were both 5-star for me.

I liked the first book better. The kidnapping plot was much more intriguing to me than the spy ring. But I do really like the Annabelle character in book 2.
