Don't know if people have heard about this yet, but the Internet Archive is making digitized books available for free with no wait list. I borrowed The Great Influenza which has a long wait list in Overdrive. Just dusted off the old Nook and I'm waiting for it to charge to see if I can transfer the book from Adobe Digital Editions.
