2-in-1 Books

2-in-1 books are the bane of my existence. I recently came across a 2-in-1 book that has two separate ISBN numbers for the one book. Does anyone have any advise? As it is I have them cataloged separately since I'm just rushing to create any sort of catalog for the library I just started at. But this doesn't seem like the best way to go about it and I'm too tired and preoccupied to give it serious thought.

I do the same and just put a note in the Comment field that it is glued to the other book.

>1 PMALibrary: If they're fiction, I've seen them cataloged with whatever rules you're using for anthologies, although that doesn't solve the ISBN problem.

If you're using Dewey for nonfiction, they would probably fall under the First of Two rule, though again that doesn't solve the ISBN issue.

I would probably just treat it as a book with two ISBNs, if your catalog allows that.

Day of Honor Omnibus Two in One. Ha.... Heh.... :D

It's 5 books and a short story, almost 1100 pages. Unfortunately it's the only book that the library has that has Treaty's Law, Her Klingon Honor, and Honor Bound (Already read the TV episode and the first two books in the series).

A pain in the butt to read. Ugh... whoever came up with the idea to put them all together.... Oy...

If I recall it only has one ISBN though, because, it's title is the Day of Honor Omnibus and then on the back it's like 'I contain multitudes' or something... (actually, it lists all the books).

>2 bnielsen: This sounds like the most expedient route. I'd also make a note of it in a list of things to revisit once time permits.
