Are here.

Information on the libertarian Rose Wilder Lane (the only surviving child of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and possible actual author of the series) is here (CATO), and also here (Wikipedia).

Well, I know that I gain 5 pounds every time I read Farmer Boy with one of my children. In pie and dough-nuts alone.

Of course, I drop it by the time The Long Winter comes round again.

Oh, and here’s a question for the ladies: Cap or Manly?

Manly has that sensitive-animal attraction thing going – but Cap, man, he just oozes sensuality.

Of course, Royal was my fist exposure as a child to an openly gay and sympathetic character. Wait – scratch that, because I did read the Curious George books much earlier than the Little House books. And Rey’s treatment of that long-term, homo-erotic affair, with the layered complexities of the whole intra-species thing was probably the first for me as a four-year old. All in all, it remains a compelling and persuasive account of the ‘other’ for primates of all ages.

What say you, fifi? Is my reading correct, or am I, perhaps, one banana shy of a bunch?
