Search Malfunction

Since last Sunday, any new books I add to my catalog do not appear when I search "Your Books." The books do show up in my catalog/library list of books and I can find it manually (i.e. scrolling through my pages of books) but again, does not appear when I use the search function. What can be done to fix this?

Maybe choose "all collections" instead of "your library"? They may be just have been misplaced. If the problem persists though post it as a bug in this group: https://www.librarything.com/ngroups/897/Bug-Collectors

Your most recently added book is Anti-Mormonism in Idaho. If I search for that in your catalogue it is found.

Similarly for Settlements of Uintah County, also added today.

I was using the "all collections" as my default, but was still having problems (and had been dealing with it for several days), yet a few minutes after you posted your response, I started seeing the books I had added about an hour before, but was still seeing a lag of about 15 minutes from when I added a book and when it would show up in the search. Now, everything seems to be working normally and books are showing up as soon as I add them. I have no idea what the problem was, but in any event, thank you.

New books entered for the first time tend to need a few days before site search finds them. Catalogue search is much faster, but the indexing can take a short amount of time, depending on the load on the servers.

You can always find your most recently added books on the add books page, your profile page, or sort your catalogue by entry date.

>5 MarthaJeanne: Just to add that "https://www.librarything.com/home" is also where I go to see my newly added books (and it irritates me every time that the "next" button shifts to the right on the "Recently Added" module, when I press it the first time. (i.e. "next Titles/Covers" turns into "prev next Titles/Covers))
