hello,
not really sure to which group i should address this. i dont really anticipate it being changed but i feel it is worth noting, particularly if yo are going to adjust other boxes/slots accordingly.
if you look at any given set of "all collections" - in the ABCDE category that you have selected - librarian is able to click on those boxes/slots and change quite easily, without additional steps of going to edit pencil, which then requires additional steps of scrolling and saving. and yes, i am that lazy.
i use this a lot.
if you grew up hearing the expression to "always leave something better than you found it" - you will understand that as i go along on any given project - i attempt to make things better for others that dont affect my personal library. one of my little tasks is to enter the CK ORIGINAL PUBLICATION date- when I know it.
it has always gone like this:
1. double click on box/slot
2 type date
3 hit enter
saved automatically
life is good.
as of today:
1. double click on box/slot
2. hit edit pencil
3. click into manilla box
4. hit save button
5. its saved- but you can't see it unless you hit refresh
6. hit refresh
7 lose your place
8 start over
life is sort of miserable.
9. re-evaluate feeling helpful
