I have just added a book to my library on the Mutiny on the Bounty, and noticed in the search results a book Mutiny on the Bounty by Patrick O'Brien - note the spelling!

I do not believe O'Brian is credited with writing a book on this topic, and the variation in surname is confusing. But topic and closeness of name make me wonder whether it really is POB.

Can anyone enlighten me?

No, it is a different author. But there has been some confusion, mostly due to typos (and I just now left a disambiguation notice on the work page of the Reverse of the Medal by one "Patrick O'BriEn").

Hey thanks for that GFI - I was sort of hoping it was POB, as it would have made for a great read. I may get the book anyway....
