Has anyone read this collection (ML 108)? I've just started it, but I'll be working my way through it slowly, reading a story/short novel from time to time rather than trying to read the whole thing straight through. I started last week with "The Sorrows of Werner" by Goethe. The collection was edited by Bennet Cerf. It originally sold for 95 cents!

This is one I've not read yet. I really enjoy the Modern Library series for this exact reason though. Nice collections of short stories to be read leisurely. I recently finished the collection by O. Henry. Wonderful.

Just finished reading this collection. It was very enjoyable and I learned a lot about some authors I'd not been familiar with. Got to reread "Death in Venice" and very much enjoyed reading "Amok" by Sefan Zweig.
