I've started a little early because I don't have many opportunities to just sit and read, so I figure it might take me a while to finish this challenge, but I sure plan on giving it my best effort!

Books marked {X} are books I've finished, since I don't know the code that will put the line through the text. ;) I've chosen the following categories:

1. Young Adult/Children
2. Romance
3. Classics (I'm going by whatever amazon lists as a classic book)
4. TBR Pile
5. Recommended (by amazon, LT, or word of mouth)
6. Paranormal
7. Fantasy/Sci-Fi (probably will be mostly Fantasy)
8. Books Made into Movies
9. Other Books I Just Want to Read

34 out of 81 complete!

I had to change my last category. I can't make myself re-read books, even if I liked them. So I just chose to list other books that I want to read instead. Lol. ;)

Some fun books on here. I've got The Ruins of Gorlan on my 999 challenge. I'll be interested to see what you think.

I'll be sure to let you know once I read it! I'm reading Elfhunter right now. Excellent so far!

If you are still looking for ideas for your books made into movies category check out www.misfit.org/bookmovie/bookmoviehistory.htm which is a MISFITS 'read the book see the movie' club list of past books/movies (12 movies/books a year since 1999). And even though MISFITS stands for - Minnesota Society for Interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy they are not just science fiction books.

Just wanted to post an update on what I'm reading now (should anyone care ;) ). I just started reading Kushiel's Mercy. I started it going "Oh God I don't remember what happened in the last one!!" But as I kept reading it all came back because Jacqueline Carey kind of subtly recaps.

Not sure if I'm reading fast enough to make it through my list in time (dang kid and work..and my weakness for video games), but I'm chugging along!

Oh, and I wanted to thank bruce for bringing that website to my attention. It was helpful. (I know, a long time in coming, but better than never right?)
