would anyone be up for a group read. we could each submit an irish book, choose an order of submitted titles and work our way through them. or we could just write up a list and we could all choose our own reading order. this group has been so quite i thought this might help.
i'll give it until the end of January to see if anyone's interested.

i'll submit without my cloak by Kate O'Brien.

the group wouldn't have to be too rigid, but might give us something to talk about

I'd be up for it, as I'm also surprised at how quiet it is here.
I'll put my vote in, selfishly, for The Third Policeman by Flann O' Brien, as I just received this book in the mail.

OK, so we'll be starting from the first of Febuary. if anyone wants to join in with a book of their own before then, or after, that would be great. if not we can be a book polity of two.

I'm going to suggest Adrian McKinty and The Dead Yard because I have it sitting in my to be read pile for quite awhile. Alternatively something by Ken Bruen could be in order. Think I'm giving away my own particuar tastes by nominating those.

hi john;
welcome on board. great choice. i've only read Ken Bruen once, a long time ago, but i really enjoyed him. i'm not sure if i know Mckinty but i look forward to giving him a go.
