Well, after beating the champs last night in the opener, my Braves are only 81 wins away from a winning season. So, how do you think your team'll do this year?

Our opener is tonight, but I think this year is the one for the Astros. :) (Yes, contrary to all evidence, statistics, what-have-you, etc.)

Edited to say: Since when does LT-time correspond with my time? Is this something new?

BOB81, our Braves will win the World Series through the wild card.

My team? The Cubs?

Y'all can commence snickering now.

Here in Baltimore, I expect the Orioles season will offer lots of time for reading.
(Luckily, I also follow the Mets and Red Sox, who should be contenders.)

Yanks will be in the hunt for the playoffs in a very tough division, thanks to the big off-season free agent signings. Injuries, or lack thereof, will tell the tale. Is Gardner a major league hitter? Will Damon contribute? Swisher? Should be a fun year! But they're all fun, of course.

>4 DaynaRT: Thing is, the Cubs look so strong. As has been said many times before, maybe the page of history will turn. It would be great fun to have a crosstown Series with the White Sox. While improbable, because of all the hurdles, it's not flaky.

I'm glad the Manny-ball is right up the freeway, or this Padre fan would have no chance to see major league excitement/entertainment this season...

Tigers fan here ... Verlander gets rocked in the first game, then, last night, when we get a good outing from our starter, the bullpen gives the game away in the late innings ... I sense this is going to be a loooooong season in the D.

I am optimistic every spring, only to have my hopes dashed, sooner or later. I am a Cubs fan.

Oof - not the start I was looking for. So, 161-1 baby! Go Tribe!

Walking in 4 runs, whilst giving up 8, in the 7th: is that bad? Maybe 82 wins was too much to hope for.

Yay! They won one! Those first five games were painful. I guess I had to be high to have hopes.

please tell me NOT to let my hopes get high-- but my Padres are 6-2 and just ruined the new Mets stadium debut!
