I recently watched "Wilde" with Stephen Fry as Oscar Wilde. Very interesting look at Wilde's personal life. To me it made his undeniably wonderful sense of humor in his plays all the more poignant.

Hi!
I saw the movie as well about a month ago. I agree with you that it was an interesting one.

I have some reservations about some things, however, (though its just a movie, right, but anyway)

a) I would have loved to see the Aesthetic Oscar
b) Stephen Fry was good, but Michael Sheen and Jude Law as Robbie and Bosie were much better (IMHO), even the lady playing Constance!
c) That first scene in the mines was a bit too cliche for me as a lover of Oscar.
d) Stephen's hairdos did not do too much justice to Oscar's gorgeous Irish locks, even in his older and heavier days.
e) I am very anal about Oscar, I am sorry if I seem too demanding. LOL
