>3 anglemark: Just a workaround to a slightly annoying bug. (I can't mark the Django6924 singleton as read "because" it is deleted by its author and doesn't appear to have a date when viewed in the group list (although it has a Jan 7, 2010, when you open it.)
If I reopen the message by posting (i.e. >2 bnielsen:) it is marked as read and disappear from the list of my unread posts in Book talk.

>4 bnielsen: Gotcha. I've never experienced the bug (or rather never seen it as irritating) as I never look at more than the last few weeks.

>5 anglemark: I tend to join/watch a group and go through the old posts, so having some of them stick around as unread is weird. (I think that it's their date field that contains something unhealthy but without raw sql access to them, that's just a guess :-)
