Hi - only just joined up here and like the idea of a book list challenge. I thought about doing 4 genres - 13 books in each with a possible spare joker. I then realised I had little chance of pulling that off. So - approximately a book a week. Seems straight forward enough, except I am a fickle butterfly with book eyes bigger than my belly - I pick up about 10 books a month from the library, as well as the ones I buy. Maybe next year I can have a go at book therapy to manage the habit.
At least I am up to speed so far after a late start.

I feel like a bit of a cheat at the moment. I went out of my way to pick out a few books at the library that were short and quick. In my defence, I have not compromised on quality, as they are all from the 1001 list.

Turns out my cheat didn't work as the Ballard book has slowed me right down. After a good start, I have slowed right up and seem to be falling behind at the moment. I think I need another classic to reinvigorate my progress.
