well yesterday I was fleeing from New York to LA with Percy Jackson, Grover and Annabeth in The Lightning Thief and then later that night I was with Alexandra in exile from the Kingdom in The Swan Kingdom. Both very enjoyable books.

Chicago, Harry Dresden, Turn Coat sounds just about right. Nice coincidence :)

I'm reading Going Bovine, by Libba Bray, which is a pop culture infused fantasy about a kid who gets mad cow disease, and is contacted by a punk angel who tells him that he needs to go on a quest to save the universe if he wants to be cured. I'm loving it.

I'm still in Hed and the surrounding lands with The Riddle-Master of Hed.

I was just in Tenochtitlan circa 1480 in Servant of the Underworld by Aliette de Bodard.

#10 - great book! Once I got into it, Inda really impressed me.

I am in Wendar and Varre in kate elliott's Kings Dragon The trilogy has been setting on the shelf for several years but I never found the covers very appealing.

It is reading better than it looked.

Well, since the paperback came out two days ago, I imagine we have a lot of company. (I got to the bookstore before they got the display out- they had to find me a copy from the back.)

I've left Icereach in Dragons Of The Highlord Skies. While awaiting to continue the journey to Neraka in Dragons Of The Hourglass Mage (the paperback, due in May), I've decided to travel back in time and visit the Elves in Silvanost (Firstborn).

Just started reading Peter Beagle's latest short story collection, We Never Talk About My Brother. The first story, "Uncle Chaim and Aunt Rifke and the Angel", is wonderful (and I see it was in the running for, but didn't win, a 2009 World Fantasy Award).

Again I find myself in Hed and the surrounding countries, but this time it is with Heir of Sea and Fire.

I am freezing my ass off here in the arctic circle where Dan Simmons's Terror is rough sledding. I just Hope that big mythical spirit of the polar bear doesn't get me.

I am riding the winged panther in Casey Simpson's new fantasy novel, "Thistle." (Currently on Amazon in Kindle only, but I've heard through the grapevine it will soon be available in paperback.)

@23, I love the Myth books by Robert Asprin, especially the early ones. Is this your first reading of them?

@24, Yes it is my first reading of them. I picked up the first two from my library's bookstore after I found them on my recommendation list. I’m enjoying the first one and will be getting the rest as i can find them or if I can find a good price on the omnibuses

@25, I hope you can find them. The first half-dozen or so books are all worthwhile and develop the characters pretty well while retaining the humour of the stories. If you continue to enjoy this series then I'd also recommend Asprin's Phule series, starting with Phule's Company. While it's more of a sci-fi setting than fantasy it still boasts the same sense of fun as the Myth books.

Coincidentally I'm still in Chicago, but now it's in a humorous paranormal romance, Chick with a Charm.

I'm in Faerun with Elminster, in The Annotated Elminster. Enjoying it so far, even though it's so obviously written like it's an RPG.

I am in Tar Valon searching for rebels and Black Ajah with the Aes Sedai. Still working on The Wheel of Time.

I'm about to find out who the Last Olympian is with Percy in tow.

Tonight I'm getting back to Gernia and the forest, in Renegade's Magic.

I just came back from the Vesani Republic in KJ Parker's The Folding Knife. It's a character-based story of the rise and fall of the Vesani Republic's greatest politician. I thought it was quite good.

After some time in England in Fool, I'm now in Tibbet's Brook in The Painted Man.

I've been in Trewissick and Wales in Susan Cooper's Greenwitch and The Grey King, but now I'm back in Hed with Morgon in Harpist in the Wind.

That sounds like an absolutely delicious journey, especially the stop in Hed. Although it's been years since I last visited Trewissick....

Spending some time in Chicago catching up with Harry Dresden. Next up is Death Masks.

I'm wandering around Pine Cove meeting all the wierd and wonderful characters (including a mobile home sized reptile named Steve) in Christopher Moores' Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove.
