Peterborough - Forrest Cook discussing his memoir of a banking life "Money, Murder, And Madness" (Saturday, March 28 at 11am)
In his new book Dublin resident Forrest Cook explains the recent financial crisis and its origins in massive government errors as he experienced their effects during his own banking career. He began working in 1958 with a job in the commercial division of Rockland-Atlas Bank in Boston. Quickly thereafter the banking industry began some major changes as deregulation took effect allowing consolidations across county and then state lines, interest bearing checking accounts, and more lax credit requirements. Much of the banking world we see today developed over the course of his career and his book clearly illustrates what he believes to be the origins of today’s bank collapses and bailouts.

Peterborough - Dr. Bruce Brodkin returns to town with a mystery\thriller "Spotswood" (Saturday, March 28 at 2pm)
The summer of 1959 is no ordinary summer at Camp Spenser, and counselor Bob Berman is struggling to make sense of it all. A series of strange events seem to be targeting the campers and putting them in danger. While most would consider them simple accidents, Berman suspects foul play-and until he finds out who is responsible, he won't stop looking. Meanwhile, a shocking discovery links the camp's location to a forty-year-old mystery, and NYPD detective Lawrence Geller lends his skills in forensics and criminal psychology to the case. The result is a dangerous and action-packed investigation into some of Lake Spotswood's most deeply held secrets-one that threatens to cost Berman and Geller their very lives." Dr. Brodkin came to Peterborough in 1973 and established a medical practice in OB/GYN with Charles Seigel and later David Levine. He left Peterborough in 1992 to work in Trenton, N.J. and Langhorne, PA.
