Description:: The Gerstein Science Information Centre is the University of Toronto's primary sciences and health sciences library. The Library's collection is primarily material on the sciences, including the health sciences, medicine, physics, chemistry, biology. Gerstein holds over 750,000 volumes.

The Gerstein Science Information Centre is located at 9 Kings College Circle on the University of Toronto campus. The library building was originally the main University of Toronto library. In 1973 the humanities and social sciences materials were moved to the new John P. Robarts Research Library, and the remaining collection was divided between the Sigmund Samuel (undergraduate) Library and the Science and Medicine Library. In 1997, the Science and Medicine Library was renamed the Gerstein Science Information Centre after a significant donation from benefactor the Gerstein Charitable Foundation.
