Description:: The Bridgeport Public Library systems owns over 500,000 volumes. It can also utilize the Interlibrary Loan network to find any other items patrons want. They have an extensive listing of programs at the Main library and the branches. The offer meeting space, exhibit space, programs for kids, teenagers, and adults, extensive genealogical data, and computer classes.

The other venues in the Bridgeport Public Library system include: the Newfield Branch Library, the North Branch Library, the Old Mill Green Branch Library, and the Black Rock Branch Library (currently closed for renovation).
