Description: Welcome to the Pioneer Valley's newest used bookstore. We are right on the bike path, just off Rt. 9 in Hadley. We currently have an inventory of around 10,000 used books in all subject areas, with an emphasis on literature, philosophy and the sciences. There is plenty of space to sit and read, and a play area for pre-literate family members.
Recent acquisitions include several hundred books from the library of Historian Oscar Handlin. The preponderance of these are in American History and Ethnic Studies. They range in price from free to $50, and are all immaculately preserved.
We have also bought a large a number of books from the library of Richard Cartwright, an MIT philosophy professor, which contains many highpoints of 20th century analytic philosophy, as well as works on the ancients.
The place is also lousy with small press poetry books, both old and new, as well as journals and zines.
