Description:: This is the public library for Vestavia Hills, Alabama. The 35,000-square-foot building is Alabama's first LEED-certified library. Behind the building is the Boulder Creek Nature Trail, which winds over the wooded Wald Estate.

The history of the library begins in 1969 when Vestavia opened its first public library in the city civic center. In 1995 the library moved to a building on Montgomery Highway that housed more than 100,000 items. Plans for a new location were launched in 2002, and the current building opened in December 2010.
