this book is written by a local author where I am from. It details the mayan calander and the year 2012 when the calander abruptly ends. It discusses the idea and supposed evidence that the mayans had the same technology that the egyptians had and that there was a technology exchange between them. I thought the book waswell written in any case. But the first half of the book presents itself as a road to understanding and then turns into a preachy "This is how it is!" book. I would recomend it to anyone looking to expand their collection on the subject but not as an everyday reader. ( )
