WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SURVIVE ABOARD A SPACESHIP FUELED BY LIES?
Amy is a cryogenically frozen passenger aboard the spaceship Godspeed. She has left her boyfriend, friendsâ??and planetâ??behind to join her parents as a member of Project Ark Ship. Amy and her parents believe they will wake on a new planet, Centauri-Earth, three hundred years in the future. But fifty years before Godspeed's scheduled landing, cryo chamber 42 is mysteriously unplugged, and Amy is violently woken from her frozen slumber.
Someone tried to murder her.
Now, Amy is caught inside an enclosed world where nothing makes sense. Godspeed's 2,312 passengers have forfeited all control to Eldest, a tyrannical and frightening leader. And Elder, Eldest's rebellious teenage heir, is both fascinated with Amy and eager to discover whether he has what it takes to lead.
Amy desperately wants to trust Elder. But should she put her faith in a boy who has never seen life outside the ship's cold metal walls? All Amy knows is that she and Elder must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets before whoever woke her tries to kill again.

YA Sci-Fi/mystery/romance. Cool concept and interesting mystery but I wasn't thrilled by how quickly things wrapped up at the end. I want to know what happens next --- maybe there is a sequel in the works?

If the mix of genres appeals to you you'll probably enjoy it. I'd go library on this one not purchase. ( )

This book was very nice, and easy to read. I had some trouble putting the book away at times. The story is good, and so is the development of the main characters. ( )

There is books that just give certain warm feeling. Purely subjective, purely "right moment in the life". That is one of those for me.

Also... I can't deny that presentation of complex things like truth and lies of individuality and society in such simplified form is one of the pleasures for the tired and bored mind of "seen it all". Adult books are boring without YA salt now. ( )

I can tell you that overall it was quite an engaging read. I pretty much devoured it in 24 hours, which is hard to do for a book well over 400 pages and you know, work and stuff. I enjoyed the story, there was a lot of suspense and the writing minus a few minor flaws was solid. Ms. Revis definitely knows how to tell a compelling story that will keep the reader guessing until the last page. There are quite a few surprises near the end, and as a reader I find that I am pretty hard to take by surprise. So Revis gets bonus points for keeping me on my toes!
