Fortunately, I am reading the Myron Bolitar books in order, years after they have been written. The ending for this one would have worried me but I'm about to start another one...wondering where Coben is going with this series!! ( )

Myron Bolitar #10. Myron is called by a very pregnant ex-tennis player client and childhood friend to help find her husband, who is part of a recluse rock band. When she dies of a heroin overdose, Myron investigates and uncovers a series of intricate lies, which go back to his relationship with his brother and sister-in-law. Win helps Myron get through one of his most difficult cases ever, but at a high cost. ( )

Despite the promise of dark family secrets, this is the most conventional of Myron’s recent cases, heavy with cheesy cliffhangers and eye-popping coincidences. Fans will be rewarded by the nonstop plot twists Coben must have patented.
