This website is very interactive and has videos, articles, images links to podcasts and blogs and interactive quizzes, some related to how stuff works, some not, like a quiz called “Who Said It?” on Edward Cullen or Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Searches can be done by entering a search term in the search box (questions tend to result in misunderstood searches, so single words are better) or by browsing the topics listed across the top banner. The website also has a “Random Stuff” component with various random facts that can be shuffled when a button is clicked providing interesting information reading and viewing for interest’s sake. Unfortunately the website is ripe with advertising even inserting ads into the videos and not allowing the viewer an option to close the ad if they want to continue watching the video. The ad placement is also unfortunate since it disrupts the flow of the informational text on the screen and takes up a lot of screen space and even the search results are overtaken by ads. Videos are also short and cut off randomly before finishing. This is an interesting website that inquisitive students will find amusing even if perhaps a bit frustrating, but it is not a must use resource for research. ( ) no reviews | add a review
