I like this series, but it's hard to read. Such unrelenting horror and sadness makes me want to hold a puppy or something. I feel like the underlying theme of the story is that people are, deep down, just awful. ( )

Best volume so far. The governor is definitely menacing, and a lot more intense than in the show. I can see why he was made a bit more TV friendly but what an antagonist he is here. ( )

The focus here shifts to outside dangers - from other settlements this time. Still very strong but I did not feel the necessity of putting a psychopath into the story - we have enough gruesomeness as it is. ( )

A helicopter crashes. More bad shit happens. Sigh. ( )
