David y su familia viajan a Venecia en Carnaval. En el mismo hotel se aloja una rara pareja de ancianos de su mismo país. Una conversación sobre la compra de un cuadro de Picasso, alerta a David y a su hermana Sissel de que algo extraño está ocurriendo. Ellos van atando cabos y un día son testigos, junto a su familia, del robo de un famoso cuadro del pintor malagueño en la Fundación P. Guggenheim. Allí desenmascaran a los ladrones y consiguen que sean apresados.
