25 months - Rhyming fun and silliness, new vocabulary as well (British slang). The illustrations and story are just plain fun entertainment. ( )

Five Vikings, who are apparently tired of pillaging, need a new adventure. They decide to go and hunt a dragon, tie it to their wagon, take it home, chop it up, and make dragon stew. This book is their journey told in hilarious rhyme. The Vikings do such odd things such as taking a stash of sardine sandwiches with them, just in case they can’t find a dragon. Quirky artwork by Lee Wildish complements the story. A great read-aloud. ( )
