No current Talk conversations about this book. 1389 ( ) This TPB takes place during the Brightest Day story line and after the Blackest Night story line. Max Lord is back from the dead and boy oh boy is he being his mind manipulative self. He even makes the entire world (maybe even Universe) forget who he is. That is all the people, except for the former members of the Justice League International group (a group that Max Lord actually created before he went loco with the mind power). They still remember who Max Lord is and more importantly what he's done, all the evil. So, they're trying to stop him and he's telling them nothing. Neither that he's doing it for good or evil. And it's a giant mess of a world. Still, it was interesting seeing the characters like Fire and Ice (I remember the first time I ran into the character of Ice in the Death of Superman story arc, she was still connected to Guy Gardner.) And the Red Rocket guy was awesome! As was the new Blue Beetle, I like that they don't really know if he's talking to his scarab, but, it seems to work? Hilarious. Onto Volume 2. no reviews | add a review
Maxwell Lord is targeting the old members of the defunct Justice League International. Now, surviving members Booster Gold, Captain Atom, Fire and Ice have to stop the mind controlling mastermind from destroying the entire Super Hero community! Original JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL writer Keith Giffen is joined by superstar scribe Judd Winick (BATMAN, GREEN ARROW) for a new era in excitement. This graphic novel directly ties-in directly to BRIGHTEST DAY, the follow-up to the # 1 comics event of 2009, BLACKEST NIGHT, written by comic superstars Geoff Johns. No library descriptions found. |
