Little Chicken's Big Day is a really cute book and illustrated super cute. I like the different fonts to express the different emotions and all of the simple twists that make a big difference to the book when added together. It was a really short book with only about two-four words on each page and some pages didn't have words at all so you had to evaluate the pictures closely. I really enjoyed this book, however I didn't really like how short it was and how it didn't really tell a story in my opinion. I don't think this would be one of my top choices of a book to use in class, however if for some reason I had to read this to my students, I would use this book to explain to students how it is important to always follow the adult you are with and never wander off on your own because you can get lost or separated from the people you are with. I would probably also use this book to show how the different illustrations and fonts help make the book come to life more and express the emotions more. In this story, the Little chicken noticed a butterfly and began to go after the butterfly instead of following Big Chicken which made Little Chicken get separated from Big Chicken. Thankfully it wasn't for long and at the end, they found each other! ( )

This book is so so so cute! And it is melting. Little chicken is just a little chicken and while following his mother Little Chicken gets pretty distracted. Who can image why it can be a big day of a little chicken. But it just happen. Each time his mother tells him these things he comes back with a prompt, "I hear you cluckin', Big Chicken." Then it's off to have some fun. The little chicken is funny and the little story is big to his family.
It's a fantasy fiction book because all the animals are able to talk. Folktales: Stories from the oral tradition had their beginnings around hearthside and campfire. These tales were almost always fantastic in nature, involving magic or talking animals.
To teachers, it is a good book to read aloud because the sentences are short and gentle.
To children, it is a good book to catch their little hearts by this little chicken's little life. ( )

This is about a little chicken which is the son and a Big chicken which is the mother. On a day where she took him out to get things they need little chicken got lost. He was so amazed by the colorful butterfly that he was not paying attention. But Big Chicken was only a "cluck away". Loves this ( )

Little Chicken's Mama gives him instructions, warnings, and directions all morning. But when he gets lost, his Mama's clucking is a wonderful sound to hear. This is a sweet story that will give families a new term of endearment - "I hear you cluckin', Big Chicken." ( )

It’s a new day for Little Chicken. He gets up and follows his mama all over until it is finally time to go to sleep.

“Wash your face!
Brush your teeth!
Get dressed!

I hear you cluckin’, Big Chicken.” ( )
