Atget is, or should be, on the short list of anyone interested in the history and nature of the medium as well as the identity of its most significant practitioners. This one volume provides a detailed study of Atget's influences, career, and output. In addition to the informative text 149 plates are reasonably reproduced on glossy stock with well researched titles in an appendix.
