Sled dogs have long been a part of Alaska's history and the Iditarod is a state-wide, seasonal event in Alaska. This would also be a great addition to elementary school Idita-read races. ( ![]() Canine friends are separated and then find each other at the Jr. Iditarod. A heartwarming story dog lovers will find irresistible. This is a great story about friendship and how nothing can keep true friends apart. It also contains great information about the Junior Iditarod race in Alaska.
