Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is a beloved Christmas classic read by many throughout the world. This is a Golden Book from 1972 that has a unique cut out shape. It's called a Golden Super Shape Book. Golden books are timeless classics that remind me of my childhood. I placed this book in the Folktales category because this story has been passed down from generation to generation. It has also been passed from country to country. The beloved character of Rudolph feels left out and rejected until he finds his unique place in his society. This heart warming tale gives hope to all that we all have our part to play. We all have a role to play in our world and in our communities. I would use this story around Christmas time in my classroom. I would love to read this as a read aloud and then promote a discussion afterwards. One skill that is important for children to learn is the idea of having a discussion. I would love to ask open ended questions that would hopefully lead to classroom discussion and new insights into this old book. no reviews | add a review
