I liked the concept but it wasn't exactly executed while. The verse did not seem very verse like and would have been better in paragraph format. There are definitely better books by this author. ( )

I am usually a fan of Levithan and have read many of his books, intending to read more. This one disappointed me. I love poetry but am partial to lyric poetry. This book is narrative poetry, more short story than poetry. There were some passages that I admired but overall, the book was one that was too good to abandon but not good enough to be pleased that I read it. ( )

I was obsessed with this book when I was 14. Rereading it at 28 is beautiful nostalgia, coming across so many phrases that have long since become part of my inner landscape and realising, oh, that's where that came from . ( )
