Terrific book that generates almost unbearable suspense until the final ghastly revelation. Not appropriate for readers under 3, as the psychic damage might be irreversible. Children at or above age 3 will probably be all right after appropriate therapy. ( )

Review:
This book belongs to the fantasy genre because a boy enters the dark house and finds a monster living there. The book follows a sequence as the boys enters the house, goes upstairs, enters a room, etc. ( )
