Cute story about a bull...frog! I like the way the story surprised the reader at the turn of each page. Fun illustrations, too. ( )

This in a fun book. Older Children 7-8 will get the humor in this guessing book. The book's illustraion help through the reading off on what is coming next. Will the Frog get his hop back? You will have to read this fun book to find out! I would use this with K-3rd graders, durning a theme on frogs. I like the pictures and prediction of the book.

This book is great for introducing compound words. It also helps with predicting skills. The pictures lead students to create an image of the first part of the compound word such as stage, and then they see and hear the image of a stagecoach as it relates to the frog looking for his hop. Similar to the expanded use of compound words is the book Bullfrog Pops. Check out both books and read them to your class.
