not as perfect as the third book, but still way these are written and following along with their lives (tribute to good character development) now onto number 5! ( )

FRO AMAZON: With unraveled embroidery and fraying hems, the Traveling Pants are back for one last, glorious summer. It’s a summer that will forever change the lives of Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen, here and now, past and future, together and apart.

Pants = love. Love your pals. Love yourself.

“Genuinely moving." —Entertainment Weekly

“A strong, satisfying conclusion.” —Booklist

“An ode to love and friendship.” —Kirkus Reviews ( )

With the first book, I liked the movie better because I felt it captured the sisterhood more concretely. By the time I got to this [at the time] finale, I understood why the second movie changed so much. This was terrible. You're telling me these girls are supposed to be four years older than they were in book 1? They've learned four years' worth of life lessons and have grown both together and apart? No. They're still clueless kids making the same mistakes over and over and telling themselves that they see things clearer now. This was so disappointing. ( )

I love this series, mostly because one of my childhood fantasies was to live in one place for my whole life and grow up with the same friends. I'm happy with all the moving around I've done, but these books fulfill that childhood fantasy for me, in a way.

I read this, the last book in the series, in a couple of hours. The end was a little abrupt, especially for being the last book, but it was a lovely story nonetheless. ( )
