It's early autumn, and Brian is canoeing his way north to visit with friends when he makes a horrifying discovery, leading to a resolution that could cost him his life.

This is a worthy and suspenseful addition to the Hatchet series. ( )

This one is a little more disturbing of what can happen in the bush. The story is compelling and each story Paulsen writes seem to get better and better. ( )

This book was about the adventure of Brian Robson. In this book he starts in a canoe in the northern Canadian woods. He find a dog badly injured, and gives it medical care. He heads north with the dog to some friends. When he arrives he find them dead killed by bear. He goes searching for survivors and find one, then he goes on to kill the bear.
I gave this book a 5 star rating. I gave it this because it was very interesting and exciting. The book always had something going on that seemed interesting to me. The details on what was going on had you always picturing the scene. There were many action filled parts. During hunts or emotional scenes it was very good at explaining what he felt. ( )
