A large selection --little from the early period --only Anne Bradstreet. Philip Freneau and Josel Barlow were really active befoer 1800. Mostly well-nkwn writers but a few poems by lesser known ones. Eda=ward C. PinckneyThomas Chivers, George Woodberry Lizette Reese. etc. Almost half from poets primarily acive after 1900. My mother admired Van Doren and wrote to sympathize with him when his son was caught cheating on a quiz program. ( )
