I really hats that I want to read the next book. All I can think as I read this is I want to throw a thesaurus at her face! I'm glad I didn't purchase them but I already have the second book on loan from a friend. ( )

Just could not read this 'pathetic excuse for a book'.Flipped through it and i think giving 1 star would be rating it too high. Most non sensical book I've read.

Sucked. I laughed a few times but overall boring and poorly written. Waste of my life. I can't believe that this book is culturally relevant to our time. Doesn't say much for the general population.

Well, I don't feel like I need to get too in-depth here. Succinctly, I wasn't impressed - I've read better romance novels (and even better erotica, to be frank.) Unfortunately, there were so many similarities to the Twilight books for me that it was hard not to see it as Twilight erotica (which I believe it initially was anyway.) I'll probably read the other books in the trilogy just to see if they improve, but overall, I didn't especially care for it. ( )

“Fifty Shades of Grey” is being released in time for Valentine’s Day. That’s a bold move, since the film is not just unromantic but specifically anti-romantic; take your valentine along, by all means, but, be warned, it’ll be like watching “Rosemary’s Baby” at Christmas

Book description
When literature student Anastasia Steele is drafted to interview the successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey for her campus magazine, she finds him attractive, enigmatic and intimidating. Convinced their meeting went badly, she tries to put Grey out of her mind - until he happens to turn up at the out-of-town hardware store where she works part-time.

The unworldly, innocent Ana is shocked to realize she wants this man, and when he warns her to keep her distance it only makes her more desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success – his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving adoptive family – Grey is man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a passionate, physical and daring affair, Ana learns more about her own dark desires, as well as the Christian Grey hidden away from public scrutiny.

Can their relationship transcend physical passion? Will Ana find it in herself to submit to the self-indulgent Master? And if she does, will she still love what she finds?
