Spurgeon’s writings on spiritual warfare are a must read for all believers.

Beautifully written and based in the Word of God, Spurgeon brings us back to the simplicity of the truth of what spiritual warfare looks like and how it should be dealt with by the Christian believer.

Especially in our day in which false teaching and extra biblical practices abound, this book is an important resource to read. ( )

I thoroughly enjoyed this small book of sermons! It is amazing how well these flow together, noting that some of them are 30 years apart (even when it is dealing with the same subject, one verse removed). This just goes to show, that when the Word of God is rightly handled, it matters not who or when it is preached...just that it is preached.

I would recommend this book to anyone, especially those seeking guidance on proper spiritual warfare (as opposed to the nonsense being spewed forth by most mainstream sources now days).

I found the editing to be very well done by Mr. Hall; where I checked, it seems most the edits were for brevity sake...the older english left mostly intact, and context/subject matter/meaning were never altered.. ( )

Spurgeon was a seasoned veteran in meeting Satan at every corner and defeating Satan in the power of the gospel. But in keeping with his practical style, there was nothing abstract or mystical about Spurgeon's teaching. He directed his focus where he found Satan at work in the lives of people -- enslaving them in sin, keeping them from the influence of the gospel, hindering their spiritual development, bringing discouragement, depression, and moral failure. Believers need not wonder about satanic principalities and power and how they are to engage them in battle. These life-changing messages of Spurgeon will meet you where you live and help you become more than a conqueror in spiritual warfare.
