Abraham Lincoln, History,
  fetish4minx | Nov 11, 2020 |
A young boy connects himself with Abraham Lincoln through their similarity in height, size, and birthday. He learns these things about Lincoln from his teacher who reassures him when he is feeling slightly awkward. This boy has a great respect for A. Lincoln and idolizes him. However, he knows there will never be another Abraham Lincoln but this does not stop him from believing that he too will one day be a great man. This book gives some light historical details of Abraham Lincoln and relates them to a modern boy, which helps readers see the nonfictional side. I would like to read this book to kindergartners as a way to first introduce Abraham Lincoln. We could possibly do a president study in which every week we learn about a new president. The way this book skims the surface of Lincoln and provides fun facts of his birthday and size is perfect for a young age group. ( )

This story is about a young boy who looks up to Abraham Lincoln, and has the same birthday as him. After being bullied by the other students, his teacher tells the boy how alike both he and Lincoln are. ( )

A boy shares a birthday with Abraham Lincoln, he and A. Lincoln are a lot alike, both tall and funny. Abraham Lincoln becomes the boys hero. Very good history lesson and biography of sorts for Lincoln. ( )
