A very interesting and captivating read that I couldn't put down. Lots of twists and turns and never a dull moment. This book is a great start to the Friarsgate series. ( )

Rosamund is left all alone in the world except for her Uncle Henry, who is now in charge of Rosamund and her inheritence of the well to do Friarsgate which he openly covets. By the age of 6 she has already been married three times. Her last husband has outfoxed Uncle Henry and has placed sweet Rosamund now age 13 into the hands of King Henry Vll and his Queen Elizabeth of York, There she meets The Venerable Margaret the Kings mother and the royal children whom she is groomed and schooled with until she is once again married and sent home.
A very good book I would highly recommend to anyone who like historical fiction. Small is very accurate in her details of the people, places and events of the time. A great read. ( )
