What he doesn't plan on, however, is meeting and falling hopelessly in love with Lexie Darnell, granddaughter of the town psychic. I picked this up because I liked the movie the Notebook, but found this book to be flat. Not likely to read another Sparks. The plot concerns a 'science' debunker journalist coming to a small southern town to investigage a light phenomenon in the local cemetary who falls for the town librarian. ( )
