This book is great to learn information about the different types of apples. Also provides great history on were the apples originated from. If you're looking for a guide to an apple this, is it. ( )

Talks about how apples are grown for farming and personal use. Talks about the history of apples. It also talks about how they are used in games and yummy treats.

In typical Gail Gibbons fashion, the top 3/4 of the page is illustration (sometimes with labels, such as the parts of the apple blossom: pollen, stamen, stigma), and the lower 1/4 is straightforward, informative text. There are "thousands of varieties" of apples, though only a dozen or so are included here; the final page includes some catch-all apple facts, some interesting and some practical (if you store you apples in a cool and dry place, they can last for months).
