Like all of the books by Di van Niekerk it is informative and lovely. The book contains the basic instructions that her other books have and so can standalone. The book is full of helpful tips on stumpwork. This book is different from her others in that it uses different shaping techniques and cutting out rose shaped petals. The edges are treated with fray check and then shaped. She shows how to make several different types of roses. The down side to this book is that the pattern given is to large to print on fabric at home. ( )
