different ways to see different trees ( )

Beautiful pictures made from clay. A vibrant story of how trees support us, how they protect us, what we can do with them and for them, how children love to play on them and take care of them, the many seasons of trees etc. This is a good example of a realism non-fiction book because the story is about true information, real life and a very fun and realistic book. The media art used is clay, and makes for the pictures to stand out and bring an almost three dimensional element to the book.

47 months - after reading Subway Mouse we just had to read more by this author. Her artwork is amazing! We got a bit distracted each time we read this book because the little dog on many of the pages looks like our fox terrier... So of course we had to find them all. Another nice story.... and... Oh, let's not forget the author lives in Toronto and many of the illustrations are very reminiscent of home. :). ( )
